Exhibition text:
After Cooling centers on “cooling” as an active and shifting process: the drop in temperature, the dissipation and redistribution of energy, the softening of affect, and the crystallization of memory in a lower energetic state.
The exhibition traces how heat migrates, diffuses, and reorganizes across various infrastructures—from urban cooling networks and data center thermal systems to cold-chain logistics and the body’s own mechanisms of thermoregulation.
As cooling occurs, the phases of materials, the tensions between structures, and the density of narratives all shift. When heat withdraws, previously obscured textures, faint signals, and newly reorganized forms begin to surface.

Through a constellation of cross-media artistic practices, the exhibition constructs a composite environment shaped by temperature, energy, and perception. It invites viewers to recalibrate their senses and rhythms within the clarity—and the lingering warmth—of the world “after cooling.”
